The IDR project team held a national consultation workshop in Praia, Cape Verde and was hosted by Instituto Nacional de Estatística de Cabo Verde  (INECV). Over 20 participants came from producers and users of statistics covering INECV, ministries, academia and the private sector.

The IDR team was satisfied with the workshops proceeding. Most of the meeting's goals were reached, such as getting feedback on and agreement to the contents of the in-depth study. The team also received feedback on the Road Map document with most participants agreeing with the general directions it has taken. They did, however, want to know more on how Cape Verde, in particular, would be affected.

Suggestions were made for the development of a second phase of the IDR project with country-specific road map documents. The INECV Director General agreed to support an eventual Road Map Declaration.
